HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd (HCG), a Bengaluru-based cancer care provider, is accelerating its expansion strategy with plans to significantly scale capacity over the next five years, amid rising competition and increased investment in the healthcare sector.
The company aims to add at least 1,000 beds during this period, taking its total capacity well beyond the current 2,500 beds, according to Manish Mattoo in an interaction with BusinessLine.
HCG said the expansion will be driven through a mix of greenfield developments and brownfield expansions. Of the planned additions, around 400 beds are expected to come from new facilities, while approximately 500 to 600 beds will be added through the expansion of existing hospitals.
